How better to follow in his fathers footsteps and do it to Alberta, with cheap electricity Quebec is fine and the carbon neutral carbon tax actually dumps more money into Quebec. Build a pipeline to the east coast? yeah right, better to throw a large Windmill bone to a big donor in the Maritimes and pretend you will do something with hydrogen.... I hope that TMP and Coastal are put into service.. The original TMP from go ahead to oil flow 18 months over virgin territory in the mid 1950's, today with modern communications, GPS, helicopters and modern construction equipment we are lucky if an expansion is completed in 10 years..(probably counted more on donkeys in the 50's, today the donkeys are in Ottawa :(
You’re on fire Scott. Well said. Didn’t the Germans build an LNG plant in 150 days. Highly motivated when they came looking for LNG and Trudeau said “ there wasn’t a business case “ but how about some fantasy renewable Hydrogen instead ?
from wiki on LNG carrier.. basically saying they will use the LNG to run the ship if it makes sense..
What fuel the vessel runs on is dependent on many factors which include the length of the voyage, desire to carry a heel[clarification needed] for cooldown, price of oil versus price of LNG, and port demands for cleaner exhaust.
What the Germans did was moor a complete floating LNG to Ngas plant and hooked it into a pipe. They have ordered and will receive another 3 or 4 which might be harder to hook up. They took a lot of credit, but if you have a working harbour with space to run some pipe I didnt see it as a big deal...
A pier at Wilhelmshaven has been expanded to provide a mooring place for a floating storage and regasification unit (FSRU), Converting the gas to a liquid it difficult, going back to gas is easy, many LNG ships use the LNG(reduce pressure and let it warm) to power the ship
The climate is always changing . Maybe fossil fuel is an issue . It’s certainly become an ideological religion that’s now difficult to counter with facts . Irregardless, man made carbon can be fixed over time with innovations. The restoration of the ozone layer proves that we can solve environmental problems. Carbon tax won’t fix anything. Innovation will . It might take ... 30 years ? Don’t panic . Don’t hand the keys to Red China .
Certainly much more dire problems than the annual 1/14th of an inch ocean rise(ok ok, some say its 1/13th of an inch), but what better way to put millions and in some cases billions into grifters pockets like Gore, Kerry, etc etc FWIW that 1/14th of an inch has been going on for approx 150 years, likely due to coming out of the mini ice age in the 1700's as warmer water expands...
If I post a link to this article on my social media will I be loaded in a boxcar and taken to the gulag or just lose friends? I'll run a test starting with Twitter.
If people aren’t paying attention to the disastrous energy policies of Germany, UK & others..... that needs to change.
Fossil Fuels will be with us well into the next century. Germany has spent 1.3T on renewables & are now burning coal. India & China will continue to build & burn cost efficient & energy dense coal.
Canada can help to lower world emissions by providing cleaner LNG & helping to off set the massive debt that the Liberals have created.
Good point, for most they have been so indoctrinated they wont even listen to facts or reason, they are more likely to believe the earth is flat than Global Warming is a scam..
The more informed will say they use critical thinking, the 97% consensus, the 3% have been paid off by big oil and then quote info from the Skeptical Science web site....

Well said John. China holding 90 of REE’s is not good for the world. EV’s are not the answer.

Both :)
Good luck & it probably won’t go over well.
