storming the capitol, on the heels of Trump saying he won and stop the vote count, is pretty alarming, and the only reason why, if I had to choose, would pick Biden 2.0 over Trump. Trump afterwards attempted to challenge State results, and all but declaring voter fraud. I don't agree with anything Biden is doing (and liked most of what Trump was doing), but if we lose trust in our system, and tolerate dictatorial tendencies, then we lose what unifies us as a country. It isn't about the protesters; they were simply responding to cues from their leader. Its' about Trump. For maybe a year after election results, there were activists/supporters who were trying to convince the world, that the election was stolen. Trump was a sore loser, and his ilk are a malaise of the developing world, where civilized politics has not taken root, and right to rule is acquired by force and deception.
Trump's conduct was a disgrace but pretending the protests on Capital Hill were an insurrection or "dictatorial" is literally nonsense. It would take a lot more force and deception than 120,000 protesters to acquire the "right to rule". I watched the January 6 events on CNN and they weren't alarming, just entertaining. I wouldn't call their conduct "storming" anything. They were a lot more peaceful than the BLM summer riots in Portland or Waukesha, involved no arson or looting and murdered no one, yet no one is depicting those protests as an "insurrection" or a "threat to democracy". Perspective.

I like this a lot. Send this off to Fox news. (Tucker Carlson & Shaun Hannity). They will appreciate it.
This whole sham is about keeping Trump out of the 2024 election.
