I share your concerns. The other issue not talked about is the daily drain of deposits to money markets , credit unions, etc; the greed of the banks not changing what they pay to depositors will also haunt them.
I wouldn't touch Bitcoin with a barge pole. None of the 19,000 different "crypto" tokens have any intrinsic value, are backed by nothing, create nothing but consume resources, and have little security despite the hype since it is necessary to use an insecure "exchange" to either buy or sell a crypto coin of any type. This whole space will cost investors billions and will end in tears in my opinion.
