his personality or values (which I think are despicable)

I think you are listening to CNN etc too much, compared to Clinton, Kennedy and even Obama he is a saint.

Agreed. Big Trump fan. Will learn to like JD Vance-incredible personal story, as long as he toes the line.

Agreed . Let’s not mix up flaws with values . Trump isn’t preaching his flaws

agree -

We don't elect presidents or PM's based on personality - as far as I can see, they are all jerks in a personal sense - what's important is what policies they pursue.

Buy cans of sardines too, the oil, the protein and the material are great to have and easy to trade. :)

Joe Rogan with 12 million followers is not helping attract needed investors to Canada :

“ I just don’t trust any of it up there. I just think they’re so far into tyranny right now, the laws that they’re passing, the sh*t that they’re doing, the erosion of people’s rights. Like, I don’t want to support it. I think it’s f*cking horrible ... They’re in the middle of a full-blown communist takeover.”

Likely the reason for opening the door to everyone, each persons name is recorded and right now mostly allowed to vote, and you know they will, if they dont the computers will vote for them.

The test will be if Polieviere is allowed to campaign and live. It looks increasingly to me like the upper echelons of the Secret Service were complicit in the attack on Trump-too many unbelievable coincidences for any other conclusion. In the U.S. we have an entrenched bureaucracy that does not hold democratic values and absolutely hates Trump. If we don't break their back this time around then your premise becomes very valid. Good luck to each of us. The U.S. and Canada are in perilous times as free states.

Its possible it was overwhelming incompetence, but also likely that it was intentional. The SS knew there was a person of interest out there, based on time, that was known that someone was on the roof prior to Trump coming out, he should not have been allowed to get on the stage when someone was on that roof..... The fact that there was an FBI person on the water tower and an agent dressed as an attendee using her phone, with Crook having a second phone ready to set off a bomb in his car(never heard any more about the bomb, likely fake), says FBI job....

Good points. Credulity can only be stretched so far.

they deliberately left the door open... and a shooter walked in

Much more likely that it was known that a shooter was coming, a ladder was set up, the roof was unoccupied, and he would be eliminated quicker that Lee Harvey O, who was the fall guy and probably not the shooter... An inside job, hard to imagine that they are that incompetent... Crook could have been taken out sooner, (a guy on a roof with a rifle, and you let him take shots?), or Trump told to remain off the stage. Not unusual that he comes out 20-30 mins late....

Chavez started in 1999, by 2003 Venezuela was falling apart, a friend who was working there for Ericsson told me of his new wifes father who was a retired oil work, forced back to work or lose his pension. I was surprised it hung on for so long. The big winner, Chavez's daughter, reportedly worth $5B US over 10 years ago.

As I read the history books, Venezuela's positive economic trend continued until about 2011 with major advances in terms of GDP growth, reduction in poverty, narrowing income inequality, etc. The country fell apart late in Chavez's regime and got worse under Meduro. https://web.archive.org/web/20141107050220/http://www.bloomberg.com/news/2013-03-07/venezuelans-quality-of-life-improved-in-un-index-under-chavez.html

I just recall the story from my coworker in 2003 and thinking the country was falling apart in 2005. The link you posted talks about murder rate and how likely higher. Airlines were stopping flights it got so bad there in the early 2010’s.

As an avid oil investor for almost 25 years I did watch this closely, not saying the numbers were bad or good. The situation was bad, although it may have been 2004 when my coworker was back from Venz, and Chavez daughter being worth $5b was widely reported.
