Mike. You nailed it again. I love your bottled water, canned food and guns credo. It goes well with one of my other favourites: "You can easily vote your way into socialism but you will have to shoot your way out".
My guess is you are probably correct. Socialism is having a rebirth globally. I chalk this up to ignorance in the electorate. If the government gives you a chicken you don't ask where they got the chicken, you just take it and then show up the next day for another. We have simply become too stupid as a population to continue to thrive. Most Americans today have never known hardship. Hardship of the sort my parents experienced in the 1930's. In regards to America today- Ted Cruz's book "Unwoke" is a pretty good primer on how our institutions were corrupted in the last half century. Can the ship be turned? I doubt it. Trump is our last chance to do it before the snowball of decline gathers too much momentum, and sadly I don't believe in my heart that he will prevail. Human history is littered with the debris of failed empires-Ozymandias comes to mind. There is no reason to think ours will fare any better, particularly with the evidence that's accumulating. Nuclear annihilation on one side and devolution on the other. Stock up on water and MRE's? Not a bad idea if you want to want to have a shot at short term survival. Long term in either scenario a long night beckons for the remnants of society. I am too old and spoiled and will skip the final bonfire if it alights during my waning tenure in this life. Good lord, did I really write all this??? That's what waking up in the middle of the night and drinking 4 cups of coffee will do. Thanks for another good essay, @michael blair
Cant agree more, the reason for voting machines is pretty obvious imo.
Assuming she gets elected what should an average mid class investor such as myself do besides stocking up on bottled water and cans of sardines in oil?. (BTW excellent thing to have, the unit can easily be traded, the protein, oil and metal could be hard to find if things got really dire).
The other danger that concerns me is even worst, that is Russia stops pulling their punches...
what should an average mid class investor such as myself do ?
I hold a healthy cash balance. Stock markets get roiled in socialist regimes and the opportunity to pick up first class and profitable companies' shares at pennies on the dollar of value is too good to miss.
Thanks. That needed to be said. On September 18 Trump will be sentenced by a George Soros funded kangaroo court in New York. He may well be sent to Rikers Island unless the NY Police refuse to comply.
It’s not just the billionaire donor class that are asleep at the wheel as “ we lurch toward socialism “, it is much of society .
With Brazilian Justice de Moreas's order shutting down X we are getting a taste of

Speaking of Dana Bash, her ex-husband was one of the 50 signatories to the letter claiming that Hunter's laptop was Russian propaganda.
So you can see her genesis.

Warren Zevon lyrics :
I went home with a waitress the way I always do
How was I to know she was with the russians, too?
I was gambling in havana, I took a little risk
Send lawyers, guns, and money
Dad, get me out of this, hiyah!
