I certainly agree. I don't believe change will happen until society goes through a lot of hurt or an emergency. I think the lack of energy which affects everything will be the catalyst for change but it might take a few years to alter attitudes. The irony of ironies is there is no shortage of energy.

I am way too old to be of any value leading change. The best I can do is write a few lines to help Canadians think it through.

I concur and agree with every statement. Where the right leadership in Canada could take us? But I don't think it's in the my future or my grand children's future. An example of extreme leadership is Mr Hugo Chavez, he destroyed Venezuela in one generation and his protege the block head fool Mr Maduro is giving the country its final blow, what misery. With the right leader, it would take two generations to repair that country.

I have just finished reading my 2nd Ann Applebaum book "Red Famine" it a sad story on insane leadership of Joseph Stalin and the suffering and misery he caused.

Leadership plays such a significant role in a countrie's growth & property or demise & suffering.

I recall a history channel documentary on the Roman Empire, the show highlighted 6 emperors, 3 that lead the empire in fear, misery, suffering and war, and 3 other leaders that ruled with decisions that lead to clean water, entertainment, prosperity, security and peace. Luck of the draw on what year you were alive in Rome and under what leadership.
