Yes, VET will suffer windfall taxes but will still turn in spectacular cash flows. But Liz Truss may put an end to the risk of those taxes being imposed in the U.K. and VET is a Canadian company so the tax situation is complex.
The world depends on Russian oil, which is partly the fault of ESG policies and climate religion. This "price cap" shows once more that Europe, in particular Germany, is governed by incompetent hypermoralists. Europe is the big loser in this situation and will be for many years.
yes, it seems incompetence at the highest levels...hopefully the public finally wakes up to the deficiencies of their leaders and can elect some wiser ones. thanks for the great post. not to quibble but trotsky was finally ice-axed, not shot, in mexico, by one of stalin's agents.
Thanks again Michael for sharing. I always learn something new and interesting reading your posts. In addition to your energy analysis, I looked up Leon Trotsky :-)
Apparently there is something called “Latvian blend”, 49% Russian oil, 51% non Russian. I’ve not tried it myself but meant to be quite nice :)
What do you think about $VET. Is there a risk that $VET is hit by windfall taxes because $VET produces in Europe?
