Under such a plan large corporations and the wealthy will dominate Canada, as they pretty much do already, I am not crazy about Trudeau but this plan sounds like he is pandering to everyone as well - Quebec, indigenous peoples and the West.
Pandering? A better word is representing. Confederation is a complex set up and it works only if the Provinces are able to exercise the powers they are assigned in the Constitution without central government interference. Corporations are a legal fiction designed solely to permit investors to have interests in businesses with limited liability. They don't "dominate" anything but are managed by directors who are charged with acting in the best interests of the corporation and nothing else. Your comment sounds pretty left wing with respect. I grew up in poverty but because of the freedoms in Canada I was able to build businesses and become wealthy. Government's role is to ensure those freedoms persist so that all Canadians have similar opportunities should they wish to pursue them, recognizing that many businesses fail and many people don't succeed. Canada has among the best safety nets in existence with public health care, public education, EI, pensions, etc. funded by taxpayers. What other country does it better?
Well said Mr. Blair! And yes, the next election cannot come soon enough - so excited at the prospect of change!
Pierre gave a great speech. It was moving & brilliant. It gives hope to Canadians.

thank you for this. Having a nice succinct list I can share with others is useful.
Here’s hoping he succeeds too from Australia.
Don't forget "Defund the CBC". Another good one.
