Elon Musk did the world a service when he acquired Twitter, renamed it X, and made it more transparent. The skeptics thought it would fail but it has grown dramatically since Musk took over, has a lot fewer “bots” and is the best source of real time news anywhere. Actual news, proven with photos and videos from ordinary citizens with smartphones.

Musk is not done. He has hinted he might launch his own Search service to rival Google, develop his own smartphone with a free connection to his Starlink service, and further advance his own Grok AI capabilities free of ideology. I would dump toxic Google in a heartbeat if there were a Search service free of leftist interference with search results; dump my Google Pixel for a Starlink connected smartphone, and forget about Gemini, Chat GPT and Meta AI which are useless when they return leftist nonsense instead of useful data. A “Tesla” branded smartphone would take a serious bite out of Apple’s dated and overpriced iPhone. Starlink can upset the legacy carriers like ATT, T-Mobile, Verizon, and in Canada BCE, Rogers and Telus. The degree of election interference being run by the Democrats today makes Venezuela look like it has “free and fair elections” despite the obvious fraud in that country. The far left is so emboldened that the streets of Philadelphia yesterday had Communist rallies.

The November election in the United States and the 2025 election in Canada may be pivotal moments in North American democracies. Do they follow Venezuela into Communism chaos and authoritarian rule or do voters decide personal freedom, free markets and free speech are more important than DEI, ESG and a pretense that CO2 causes climate change?
