Vivian Krause points out Trudeau's terrible economic policies
She is immediately criticized by Trudeau apologists who have tunnel vision
Vivian Krause has done Canada a great service by pointing out how much foreign money is flowing through Canadian “charities” and subsidized by tax breaks permitted by the Liberal party under Trudeau, with those “charities” using the money to attack our energy industry under the specious theory that CO2 causes climate change, an absurd theory unsupported by the laws of physics. Most Canadians don’t know the scale of the attack and the left wing media have not done much reporting on the Allan report showing the attack in detail. The scale of the assault on our energy industry is enormous. Here is a snapshot of some of the ENGO’s attacking Canada’s economy detailing the $11 billion they have spent in a decade.
Vivian recently took a shot at Trudeau for his contribution to Canadian inflation and was the subject of a Twitter mob attack using nonsensical arguments like “monetary policy is not his job” and “inflation is worldwide and you can’t blame Trudeau”.
What the Trudeau apologists ignore is that Trudeau is not the only one responsible for inflation worldwide, but his role is significant. The inflation being experienced throughout the Western world has two sources - rampant government spending using borrowed money and stupid energy policies restricting output of fossil fuels to where there is a global shortage and dramatic price increases. Trudeau’s role in that cannot be ignored.
Canadian government spending during COVID and since was well beyond anything needed to deal with the issue, doubling the government debt from $600 billion to over $1.3 trillion in just a few years. That was Trudeau’s work. Worse for worldwide inflation, Trudeau’s cancelation of Northern Gateway and Energy East and general antithesis to pipelines has strangled egress of oil and natural gas from the Western Canadian Sedimentary Basin just as world demand outstripped supply. As a result, not only is Canada deprived of energy taxes and royalties but also Canada has limited ability to support its allies abroad with energy exports.
Trudeau ranks right up there with Joe Biden as a cause of the worldwide inflation now pulverizing the poor and making them choose between food and heat, a situation that will be dire this winter.
It is not bad for everyone. Investors who read the tea leaves correctly (like me) took large positions in oil & gas stocks and have made millions as the prices spiked. Credit where credit is due.
Voters need to change horses at the next election or suffer the consequences of the continued “woke” adminstrations in Western democracies with the need to oust Biden and Trudeau front and center. I am not optimistic that our standard of living will survive another term in office of either of them.
Please note, the list of revenues was drawn up by Robert Lyman and published by Friends of Science Society in this independent report: https://blog.friendsofscience.org/wp-content/uploads/2019/05/Money-Matters-report-format-FINAL.pdf and does not reference or draw on Vivian Krause's original work (Her work was and is fantastic - but it was not the source of the material shown ). Likewise, to clarify, these are the revenues the top 40 ENGOs took in from 2000 to 2018 - not necessarily the money's SPENT on the Tar Sands Campaign. Some clarity on what was confirmed as spent (via forensic audit of Deloitte for the Alberta Inquiry) can be understood from this summary by Robert Lyman: https://blog.friendsofscience.org/2021/11/02/has-no-one-read-the-deloitte-report/ The key take away is the incredible influence these groups have - not to mention they almost all also have substantial tax-free physical assets.
The revenues received by the ENGOs and their EnviroLaw counterparts over the
period was over 18 times the revenues received by all federal political parties,
and over 27 times the revenues received by the market-oriented institutes.
• Both Ducks Unlimited Canada and the Nature Conservancy Canada annually receive
higher revenues than all the major federal political parties; a large portion of the
funding to these organizations is from the federal government.
• The revenue received by the Tides organization alone is more than the combined
revenues of Canada’s two largest federal political parties, the Liberal Party of Canada
and the Conservative Party of Canada over the period.
• The David Suzuki Foundation’s average annual revenues exceed the annual revenues of
the federal New Democratic Party.
• Eight ENGOs have annual revenues that exceed those of the governing Liberal Party of
Canada.
The first step is the US mid term. If the Dems hold the house, we are in serious trouble.
