The futility of Biden's foreign policy is inescapable
Big talk, little effective action
The Biden administration’s response to Russia’s invasion of Ukraine is limited to selling arms to Ukraine and imposing sanctions on Russia. The effect is carnage in the Ukraine and no significant penalty to Russia’s economy. Socialists like Biden are bereft of any understanding of how markets work.
Russia’s invasion started in February 2022. So far, tens of thousands of Ukrainians have been killed or injured and Ukrainian cities turned to rubble. The U.S. has sent billions of dollars to Ukraine and American arms manufacturers have received billions of dollars in new orders for weapons and ammunition. The whole scheme supports the military-industrial complex at the cost of Ukranian lives, and very likely Ukrainian money finding its way into the Biden family or Biden’s campaign coffers. Zelensky has become rich in the process, with a net worth of about $20 million (not the billions a few have accused him of having, but a lot more than when he took office).
America led sanctions against Russie ostensibly designed to damage Russia’s oil & gas dependent economy. The reverse has happened. Oil & gas prices paid to Russia have risen, and shipments of both commodities from Russia remain at pre-war levels or even higher. Biden’s policies fund the Ukraine war on both sides of the conflict.
So far in 2024, seaborne shipments of crude oil from Russia have risen.
In fact, they have kept rising since the Ukraine war began. Sure, shipments have changed destinations somewhat, with more oil going to Asian markets and less to Europe with the effect of starving European energy importers and compelling higher energy prices in Europe. Who benefits besides Russia? You guessed it - the U.S. LNG industry and U.S. exporters who have had a field day supplying Europe with oil & LNG.
Biden can’t really be faulted since he is barely lucid and has no ability to comprehend his own policies, still asserting that inflation (which was 1.4% when he took office) was 9% when he took over from Donald Trump. Biden lives in a fantasy world, out of touch with reality. Even left wing CNN is calling him out for his nonsensical claims.
Ordinary Americans understand inflation far more clearly than Biden, particularly when they buy groceries, fill up their car with gasoline, or pay the monthly payment on any mortgage renewal. Costs for households are up about 25% to 30% since Biden took office. Bidenomics, Joe Biden’s brand for his economic policies, are more about impoverishing Americans than improving thier lives.
Democrats are in disarray as the evidence mounts that Biden is well past his best before date and quickly approaching his political expiry date, and caught between a rock and a hard place since the alternative to Biden is Harris, an even weaker candidate for the Oval office. By November, all Democrats up for election will either abandon Biden or be voted out by an electorate who are fed up with Biden’s incessant claims that CO2 causes climate change, a physical impossibility grounded solely in poltical science rather than physics and pushed by leftists worldwide to rally support for their globalist ambition of a socialist new world order as promoted by their Davos contemporaries in the World Economic Forum.
The rubber is hitting the road wordwide and despite the risks of violence there is a better than average chance the left wing will be tossed out of major world democracies in the next year or two, and the world will be a better place for it.
