Science keeps advancing despite leftist efforts to suppress advances
Recent research throws cold water on the left wing climate change narrative
The hotly debated topic of “climate change” keeps making headlines despite its age - the first serious claims of impending catastrophe date back to the mid-1950’s when so-called climate scientists predicted a coming ice age, an alarm that gathered momentum until by the early 1970’s major mainstream media like Time Magazine made the coming ice-age front page news.
Climate change fears were nonsense then and remain nonsense today. Trillions of dollars have been spent in a Quixotic attempt to alter the course of nature by claiming a necessity to shift from cheap and reliable fossil fuel energy to so-called “renewables” largely comprising solar and wind based electrical generation. Despite the trillions, demand for fossil fuels keeps rising and renewables haven’t made a dent in world energy supply.
What they have done is drive the costs of energy higher, making millions poorer in the process. As the debate over the role of carbon dioxide in global climate rages on, some physicists have published peer-reviewed papers based on nothing more than application of laws of physics to demonstrate the role of CO2 in climate is limited, saturated and close to zero for any rise in CO2 concentrations from today’s ~420 ppm by volume in the atmosphere. It is bad news for those whose political careers depend on keeping their alarmist narrative alive, but it is an inescapable conclusion unless the laws of physics have changed quietly in the night and no one but climate scientist cabals have noticed the change. I suspect not.
Dieter Schindknecht published on of the most lucid papers on the application of the laws of physics to CO2’s role in climate and has been ignored despite the paper’s integrity and conformity to the laws of physics. The paper is remarkable in that it is not only accurate but also only 26 pages long, a mere note compared to the thousands of words published regularly by the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) unit of the United Nations which regularly makes claims inconsistent with laws of physics in long and almost incomprehensible papers and summaries rife with weasel words like “low confidence”, “likely”, “possibly” and “predicted by models”. By contrast Schindknecht’s paper is written in English with transitive verbs and writes his conclusion with the introduction:
Other papers are finding other factors affecting the temperature of Earth’s surface that have nothing to do with CO2 concentrations. One just published in “Popular Mechanics” reports on the discovery by scientists of molten segments of Earth only 100 miles below the surface of the Earth with temperatures in the 2,800 deg. C range. Ordinary thermodynamics can estimate the convection, advection and radiation of this heat towards the surface using properties of rock like its specific heat capacity of rock calculated to be 2,000 joules per kilogram needed to raise the temperature one degree Celsius. In is indisputable that Earth’s surface is not only heated from above by Sun’s rays but also from below geothermally. Physicist Ned Nikolov and his colleague Karl Zeller published research demonstrating that any “warming” the Earth has experienced is not caused by CO2. Their work has been ignored as well.
Political science, not physics, drives the climate alarm and the politicians whose careers depend on the persistence of the nonsense they spout cannot abandon their narratives for fear they will look as foolish as they are in fact and get voted out of office. An increasing number of eminent scientists are getting up the courage ot speak out about the weaknesses of climate theory and the damage it is causing. As the damage from their climate change policies mounts, it seems likely they will be tossed to the curb by voters in any event. I hope so.
