Liberals are frightened of Pierre Poilievre
The personal attacks on Poilievre are at a fever pitch
Pierre Poilievre is a natural leader with a simple message for Canadians. Embrace your energy industry, stop importing oil from other countries, build necessary pipelines and balance the federal budget. A Calgary boy, he combines a personal understanding of the West with a native ability to communicate with Quebec in French. He takes no prisoners in his criticism of the Trudeau Liberals and the criticism is spot on, unlike Liberal criticism of him which is based on “fake news” and divisive claims that he is a “white supremacist” which is laughable.
Trudeau is a storefront, adopting a persona of a caring emphathetic leader who genuinely “has our backs” when in fact the only back he has is his own and he doesn’t seem to give a damn about anyone else but himself. Trudeau has only himself to blame for the divisive words and actions that flow from his mouth and Liberal party like a tsunami of hatred for anyone that disagrees with his toxic rhetoric. When truckers protested vaccine mandates, he called them Nazi sympathizers, mysoginists and extremists despite the reality that they were ordinary Canadians exercising their right to assemble and protest government policies they disagreed with.
The virulent rhetoric coming from Justin Trudeau and his handmaiden Jagmeet Singh is evidence of an extreme level of fear. Fear that Trudeau’s inane attack on Western energy will be exposed as nonsense (which it is, since CO2 is harmless). Fear that Singh may not last in Parliament long enough to colllect his pension in 2025. Fear that Canadians have had enough of “Sunny Days” and the smarmy crap that issues from Trudeau’s mouth on a daily basis.
Trudeau’s economic policies are so bad that even a brilliant mind like Chrystia Freeland’s can’t save Canada from rising inflation brought on by profligate spending and fiscal policy failures. Attempts to tax single family residence gains (not enacted but considered), tax wealth (not enacted but proposed) or jack up corporate taxes (likely on its way) are futile attempts to find a way to avoid economic collapse which has become likely if not certain under Trudeau. Trudeau ignores the reality that gains on residences are one of the few ways for middle class Canadians to accumulate wealth they can pass on to their children (who can no longer afford a home owing to Trudeau’s policies), that a wealth tax has been tried and failed in several countries worldwide and will just lead to a flight of capital from Canada, and that corporations don’t pay taxes, they collect them from their customers and the tax is disproportionately paid indirectly by the poorest Canadians.
As the global energy crisis deepens, Canada’s best course of action is to motivate higher oil & gas production and quit pretending CO2 emissions are harmful, a nonsensical theory promoted by socialists to rally support for a global socialist government and inconsistent with the laws of physics. Poilievre has this squarely in his sights and Canadians will rally behind him. To help energy starved Europe we need pipelines to deep water, LNG facilities on both coasts and rapid development of the Deep Basin and Montney basins. To help ourselves we need a pipeline to Eastern Canada to displace imported oil from regimes we find repugnant and improve our trade balance.
Poilievre is the leader who will do this and Canadians can see it clearly now as decades of “climate alarms” have come and gone without the calamities forecast by Al Gore and the IPCC. New York is not under water, no coastal cities have submerged, the Arctic ice pack is intact, polar bears are thriving and Trudeau, Catherine McKenna, Jonathan Wilkinson, Jagmeet Singh and Premier John Horgan are full of shit about climate, along with David Suzuki, Greenpeace and the Sierra Club.
Poilievre is the man for our times and I can’t wait to see the end of the Trudeau dynasty. Drama schools may benefit from having another teacher available but the rest of Canada will benefit from Trudeau’s absence more than they have ever benefited from his presence.
The truckers put the wheels in motion.
Excellent article. Trudeau has narcissistic personality disorder. Since he hasn't really accomplished anything meaningful with his life he has adopted this climate and social justice warrior persona. It's worked well for him but the damage he is doing to Canada will take decades to recover from.
