Espionage is impossible
Just keep classified documents in Joe Biden's garage
The world is enjoying the nonsense coming out of the White House in the past few days. After making a federal case out of the former President having possession of some classified documents (which was known to the Biden administration for over a year) the FBI raided Donald Trump’s home in Mara Lago and seized a few boxes of insignificant papers which Trump say he had declassified (which he had every right to do while President) and publicly encouraged the Department of Justice to prosecute Trump for having classified documents (which were in a locked room in one of the most secure residences in America) without troubling themselves with any serious enquiry into whether Trump had in fact declassified them. After all, this was a “gotcha” that obviated the collapse of the “Russian collusion” rhetoric that died on the vine after investigation found no evidence of any such collusion.
Now it turns out Joe Biden had classified documents in his office and Biden says that was all right since it was only a few documents and they were turned over to the National Archives promptly after they turned up. Biden pretends he has no idea what documents they were, how they got into his office, or what they contain. He says his lawyers did not tell him to inquire as to their contents. Clever choice of words, since he did not say they advised him not to inquire.
As the hubbub over those documents raged on in mainstream media, with CNN, CBS, the New York Times, Washington Post and a pile of other propaganda machines for left wing America excused Biden for an “inadvertent error” or some such thing, another box of classified documents turned up in Joe Biden’s garage in Wilmington, Delaware. Not to worry, said Biden, they were in a locked garage beside is old Chevy Corvette. No serious spy would look there, would they?
The American governments spends billions to protect classified documents from being exposed to either the public or to enemies of the state. A 2012 article in the New York Times puts the figure at $12 billion that year and suggests it may have been as much as $13 billion, an amount greater than the budget of the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). Ever frugal, Joe Biden could have saved the taxpayers billions by storing them in his garage.
The mainstream media look the other way and ho and hum when they are confronted with reality - Biden was Vice President when the classified documents came into his possession, he had no authority to have them in his possession outside of the White House while Vice President, and no power to declassify them at all. A bit awkward.
Merrick Garland finally demonstrated a modicum of ethics when he decided to appoint a special counsel to look into the Biden documents, paralleling the special counsel looking into the Mara Lago trove Trump is saddled with. It will be fun to watch how this gets spun over time. Of course, Trump and Biden are not alone with sensitive materials in their possession when they should not have been - Hilary Clinton’s personal servers were a favorite scandal of the Trump campaign. Obama and Nixon kept Presidential records for years after leaving office, no doubt to profit from a book in Obama’s case.
This whole charade is likely to be a tempest in a teapot, but it brightens up a dull winter day to have Biden and his staff trying to make a silk purse out of a sow’s ear once again.
Yet there are no shortages of Canadian bashing Trumps daily despite all the evidence presented itself in the last few years that it was nothing but a witch hunt for a political opponent.
Trump is the only president losing his net worth and donated all his salary while most everyone else got rich as career politicans.
Canadian hateful of Trump and his policy should be ashamed of themselves of being so ignorant.
Absolutely nothing wrong with wanting to Make America Great Again.
When will the FBI raid Biden’s home and go through Dr Jill’s closet ?
The FBI appoints the POTUS … right ? They may have decided to save Trump for the nomination because DeSantis is getting stronger . That will hurt Kamala’s chances .
It’s so complicated my head hurts .
